Montabert's heavy V-series is built for sustained production on the toughest jobs Australia throws at a breaker. The V1800 EVO and V2500 EVO bring updated hydraulics to the mid-heavy class, while the V3500 and V4700 cover the largest excavators most operators run. Two working positions on each model give a productivity-versus-precision trade-off without changing the breaker. Monty Products provides full parts, tooling and service support nationally from Perth.

- Which heavy-class Montabert breaker fits my carrier?
- The V1800 EVO suits 20 to 30 tonne excavators, V2500 EVO suits 25 to 35 tonne, V3500 suits 30 to 45 tonne and V4700 suits 38 to 55 tonne. For carriers above 50 tonnes, look at the XL Series. Send us your carrier model and we'll size from there.
- What is variable frequency and why does it matter?
- The V Series adjusts strike rate based on material resistance. On softer or fractured rock the breaker speeds up to maximise productivity; on dense rock it slows down to deliver maximum impact energy per blow. The result is materially better productivity than fixed-frequency breakers on mixed-material work.
- Can the V Series be used in mining?
- Yes. V1800 EVO through V4700 are widely used in iron ore, gold and copper operations across WA. For high-volume primary breaking on hard rock, the XL Series may be a better fit. We work with mining contractors directly on TCO modelling.
- How often do heavy breakers need rebuilding?
- Typical rebuild interval is 5,000 to 7,500 operating hours, depending on duty cycle and material. We perform full factory-spec rebuilds at our Malaga workshop and can quote with serial number lookup.
- Do you ship to mine sites?
- Yes. We deliver and commission heavy breakers across WA and the NT, including Pilbara, Kimberley and Goldfields mine sites. Field commissioning includes hydraulic flow and pressure verification before handover.
