RRC Series, rail cutter attachment
Tonnes of rail in the blink of an eye, fast cycles, replaceable knives, double-hose swivel for optimum oil flow.
The Rotar RRC 25 rail cutter is the preferred attachment for rail demolition and recycling. Service weight 3,500 kg, suited to 25-tonne carriers on boom (38 t on dipper). The cutter combines a strong rotating upper head, replaceable cutting knives in heavy-duty jaws, and Rotar's signature double hose connection on the swivel, keeping oil flow optimum and stopping heat building up across long cutting runs. Pressure-relief valve guarantees maximum cutting force under controlled circumstances. Distributed in Australia by Monty Products.
Rotating Upper Head
Strong rotating upper head and heavy-duty double-rowed slewing ring with high-torque hydraulic motors. Reach every cutting angle along the track without repositioning the carrier.
Replaceable Cutting Knives
High-grade performance steel jaws with replaceable cutting knives and main axes mounted on wide pivots. Long-lasting cutting performance with field-serviceable wear parts.
Pressure-Relief & Dual Hose
Hydraulic cylinder with pressure-relief valve guarantees maximum cutting force under control. Double hose connection on the swivel keeps oil flow optimum for fuel-efficient sustained operation.
Where It Works
Common applications across Australian construction, demolition and civil sites.
Track removal
Decommission existing rail track, through-cut and lift sections for haulage.
Rail recycling
Reduce rail steel to mill-ready lengths, clean, fast cycles for steel recyclers.
Switch & crossing demolition
Process complex track infrastructure, switches, crossings and turnouts.
Sleeper handling
Coordinate rail and sleeper removal during track replacement and renewal works.
Rail infrastructure
Support cabling, signalling masts and overhead structures during corridor demolition.
Maintenance shutdowns
Fast track removal during planned maintenance windows, minimise corridor possession time.
