OilQuick launched the world's first fully automatic quick coupler system in 1993 and the technology is still considered the most advanced on the market. The Sonerud family company in Hudiksvall, Sweden has supplied over 40,000 systems globally, with coverage across excavators from 1 to 120 tonnes, tiltrotators, wheel loaders, forklifts, material handlers and truck cranes. - What does an OilQuick tiltrotator add to my excavator?
- The OQTR-E is a hydraulic 'wrist' that rotates the attachment a full 360° and tilts it up to 45° each way. With an OilQuick coupler mounted above and below the tiltrotator, the operator can angle, rotate and swap buckets, grading beams, grapples and hydraulic tools without leaving the cab. OilQuick estimates that on a 15-tonne excavator the added reach and precision can move around 55 extra tonnes of material an hour, for only a small increase in fuel use.
- Which OQTR-E tiltrotator suits my excavator?
- The OQTR-E range covers five sizes: OQTR-E09 (6-9 t), OQTR-E14 (9-14 t), OQTR-E19 (14-19 t), OQTR-E26 (19-26 t) and OQTR-E33 (24-33 t). It pairs Engcon's proven rotator body with OilQuick's fully automatic couplers. Send us your excavator make, model and weight and we'll confirm the right size and control system.
- Is tool changing still automatic and safe with a tiltrotator fitted?
- Yes. Tool changes stay fully automatic and hands-free. OilQuick LockSupport (OQLS) electronically confirms the attachment is locked before work starts, with sensor monitoring and an in-cab display to help prevent dropped tools. Control options range from the OQCS-4 valve system to Engcon's DC2 proportional control with Bluetooth and the ePS positioning system.
