What our workshop does

  • Hydraulic breaker rebuild and overhaul: full strip, inspection, parts replacement and re-test for Montabert SD, M, V and XL Series.
  • Tool and bushing replacement: while-you-wait service for Perth metro customers where parts are in stock.
  • Hydraulic system commissioning: oil flow, pressure and back-pressure measurement on commissioning and after major service.
  • OilQuick coupler service: seal kits, electrical kit upgrades, locking mechanism inspection.
  • Kemroc and Rotar attachment service: motor and gearbox service, blade and tooth replacement, hydraulic line repair.
  • PneuVibe motor service: bearing replacement, mount inspection.

Field service across WA and the NT

Some service work doesn't need to come to Malaga. We send factory-trained technicians to site for inspections, in-field repairs and commissioning across WA and the NT.

  • Perth metro and Peel: same-day or next-day field service
  • South West, Wheatbelt and Mid West: scheduled visits, urgent on request
  • Pilbara, Kimberley, Goldfields: pre-arranged trips, often coordinated with parts delivery
  • Northern Territory: scheduled trips and project-specific deployments

For mine-site fly-in fly-out service, we work with site contractors and OEM dealers to coordinate access, induction and PPE requirements.

Scheduled maintenance programs

For fleets of three or more units, we offer scheduled maintenance contracts. These bundle inspection visits, oil and pressure checks, scheduled wear-item replacement, and priority parts allocation into a fixed monthly cost. Most fleets running these programs report 20 to 30 percent fewer unscheduled breakdowns and significantly extended breaker life.

Breaker rebuilds and refurbishment

At 5,000 to 7,500 hours, depending on duty cycle, a Montabert breaker is typically due for a major rebuild. We strip the unit fully, inspect every component against factory gauges, replace anything outside tolerance, re-pressure-test the accumulator, and return the breaker to factory spec.

A factory-spec rebuild generally costs 25 to 35 percent of new and delivers most of the operating life of a new unit. For older Montabert serial numbers, we will tell you honestly when a rebuild stops making economic sense and a replacement is the better call.

Warranty and factory-trained technicians

All Monty Products warranty work is performed in-house by factory-trained technicians. Warranty does not transfer to non-authorised repairers, so if your breaker is in warranty and you take it elsewhere, the cover lapses. The same applies to non-genuine parts: installing third-party seal kits or tools voids Montabert factory warranty.
